My name is Christopher Smekel, and I momved to the United Kingdom from Australia in 1998. I came from the sunny city of Gold Coast where I had spent the majority of my upbringing.

My formative years were spent at A.B.Paterson College, and spent quite a big portion of my time not spent studying visiting my Parents in South-East Asia.

After completing high school in Australia, I moved to be with the rest of my Family to England. I went to Brunel University in (Middlesex) West London and graduated with Honors.

My partner Jayne and I live in Berkshire with a decent back garden, close to both Jayne's workplace and close for me to travel to London.

I am currently working at the England and Wales Cricket Board based at Lords Cricket Ground in St. Johns Wood, London and I also work in our offices in Manchester. Jayne currently works for a Currency Management firm Record Currency Managament.

We enjoy travelling, and both love having Europe on our doorstep and try to make the most of it whenever we can.

Outside of work Jayne and I have an allotment (details of which you can find elsewhere on my website), We are trying to reduce our waste by recycling as much as we can, re-using where possible and composting everything else. With the allotment all the composted material will go back on to the land and will make it's way back into the food chain.

We are both concientious about the environment and try to do our bit. It's important to us that we lead a healthy lifestyle which means eating non-processed food, cooking from fresh and where possible eating organic produce. Where we can we also buy local produce.

With the abundance of fruit and vegetable available through our allotment I'll be focusing on learning how to preserve food to keep throughout the year.

In my free time I do a lot of freelance work for a wide range of clients from charities to b2b companies.

I live in the United Kingdom, My parents live in Hong Kong, and my two younger brothers (James & Phillip) live in our home town, Gold Coast, QLD, Australia.
